Our Approach
Strategic Focus
AWFishNET’s strategic plan focuses on addressing key challenges through six priorities: ensuring safe and healthy work environments, promoting sustainability and access to fish resources, enhancing the competitiveness of women-led enterprises, increasing women’s participation in policy processes, strengthening organizational capacity, and mobilizing resources for sustainable growth.
From 2021 to 2025, AWFishNET aims to improve working conditions and hygiene for women in fish trade and processing, advocate for sustainable and accessible fish supplies, and empower women to establish competitive businesses. The network also seeks to amplify women’s influence on policies affecting their activities, strengthen its capacity to deliver impactful programs, and build partnerships to support its mission.
